Strange Ladies

I’ve lived a thousand and one lives between now and then. .. an outrageously hilarious tragicomedy of two ancient women at the ends of the earth. Dreaming of donkeys, soap and the Cosmos, they fight their way through a long long day and keep looking for a fresh mountain spring.

About Me

My photo
Lily and Hanna
STRANGE LADIES, is a new company created by Michiko Miyazaki Gaulier, Co-Drector of Ecole Philippe Gaulier, in Paris; Lily Katharine Virginia Sykes, Artistic Director of Aitherios Theatre and Hanna Marouchka Antigone Pyliotis. It is the latest in a long line of theatre companies to emerge from Ecole Philippe Gaulier, whose previous graduates include Sacha Baron Cohen, Kathryn Hunter, Roberto Benigni and the founding members of Theatre de Complicite. The force behind the work of the STRANGE LADIES is a pleasure in life’s absurdity, and a burning desire to fight against every rule that comes their way, to create their own set of rules which they then proceed to destroy so that the shape of their work is permanently in flux. They aim to produce beautiful, chaotic and absurd theatre which seeks out the humanity in our crazy world.
